Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation - guide dogs for people who have a visual impairment

Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, based in Bloomfield, Conn., has trained German Shepherd Dogs as guide dogs for people with visual impairments since 1960. The organization is an accredited member of the International Guide Dog Federation and pioneered the “In-community Placement” process, which sends instructor-trainers to clients’ homes and place of employment to work with families and develop the dog-client relationship.

Hattayer said “the ‘Vision’ of THE WAG INC. is the Human/Animal Bond. I can see no greater example of this bond then service dogs in action!”
